Spring Energized Seals are made up of U-shaped sealing rings made from PTFE and springs that resist corrosion. The metal spring provides the initial sealing force at low pressure and zero pressure. As system pressure rises, the sealing lip pushes out. It gently presses against the sealed surface. This keeps the sealing interface in contact, creating an excellent seal. It can be widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
