What is PTFE and PTFE products?
PTFE is the abbreviation of Polytetrafluoroethylene, also named Teflon, which was discovered by DuPont (now Chemours). PTFE is found in many industrial products. This includes O-rings, gaskets for pipes and flanges, bearings, parts for valves, pumps and hydraulic cylinders.
Properties of PTFE:
• Low Friction, Non-Stick Properties
• Good Electrical Insulation.
• UV and Weather Resistance
• Wide Temperature Range (from -200℃ to + 260℃)
• Excellent Acid & Chemical Resistance. Resistant to strong acids, strong alkalis, strong oxidizers, and organic solvents.
Virgin, Expanded, or Filled PTFE
• Virgin PTFE grades are used for Gaskets in the food & pharmaceutical industries
• Expanded PTFE grades are used for damaged flange faces and glass or plastic flanges
• Filled PTFE grades are used where specific physical or electrical properties are required.

PTFE Envelope/ Rubber Insert Gaskets
Standard rubber joints can come with a layer of virgin PTFE. This layer protects the joint edge from corrosion. It also offers great chemical resistance. This is important for jobs needing hygiene and a pollution-free environment.
PTFE Seals are ideal for situations needing chemical resistance, high heat, and low friction.
PTFE seals can be used for reciprocating, rotating, static, and complex integrated applications.
